What is the REZE number?
The REZE number (ministerial number) is the unique identifier of your naturalization file, assigned during central processing. It is the number AlertJO uses to find your decree: the nominative extract published in the Journal Officiel shows that number along with your first and last name, but it has restricted access on Légifrance and the names are not indexed there.
Where to find it
On your filing receipt or on correspondence from the Ministry of the Interior during processing.
Number format
File year + one letter + a 6-digit number. Example: 2026X 012345. We found no official source documenting what the letter means, so it is not interpreted here.
Common mistakes
- Confusing the prefecture number with the ministerial number
- Adding or removing the space after the letter
- Searching by name on Légifrance, where names are not indexed
Your REZE number is enough to check the latest Official Journal publications.
