JORF

The Official Journal of the French Republic, where naturalization decrees are published.

The JORF is the French State's official publication. Naturalization decrees appear there among individual acts, as PDF documents available on legifrance.gouv.fr.

For decrees published since 2016, the extract that contains nominative information has restricted access: Légifrance asks you to solve a short sum before opening the document. That extract gives, for each person, their last name, first name, date and place of birth, category and ministerial number. Decrees from 2016 onwards carry an authenticated electronic signature, which gives them evidential value without a certified copy.

The Journal Officiel has no official publication time: it goes online early in the morning, Tuesday to Sunday, and naturalization decrees can appear on any publication day, with no announced schedule. AlertJO analyses each issue as soon as it is online.
